• BA (or higher) in social sciences or economics from a leading local university;
• experience of studying abroad, preferably in either the USA or the UK;
• excellent written skills in English and your mother tongue, which will be either Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Romanian, Bulgarian or Serbian;
• ability to build and present an argument, and to think critically;

a/ Junior consultant (Prague, Bucharest and Sofia)

In addition to the general requirements specified above, the junior consultant will have:

• good grasp of formal and informal political processes and actors in one or more of the countries where we operate
• interest in political developments at home and abroad.

The junior consultant will:

• monitor market and policy developments in areas of client interest
• gather, assess and interpret information from both public record and primary sources among public officials
• cooperate on analytical reports and cross-country projects
• accompany senior consultants to meetings with officials

b/ Consultant in the advocacy practice (Prague, Bratislava, Budapest and Sofia)

In addition to the general requirements specified above and the requirements for junior consultant, the consultant will have:

• at least two years’ work experience at home or abroad
• an existing network of contacts among public officials

The consultant in the advocacy practice will:

• focus on gathering information from primary sources among public officials
• make representations to public officials on behalf of clients
• manage client accounts where appropriate
• lead advocacy projects where appropriate
