Information and Interpretation
We make a pre-bid assessment of policy, process and players relating to the sale of a public utility.
A potential bidder asks us to assess the probability that the government would sell the asset and to illuminate its thinking on how and to whom. Our findings are used to model scenarios and to build the winning consortium.
Public Policy Formation
We change government policy to create a new public sector market for our client.
The objective is to reduce our client’s dependence upon a single product relying on a fiscal advantage under constant threat of removal. Our task is to build and run a lobbying campaign to persuade the government to introduce a system of benefits delivery run by the private sector.
In addition, our task is to establish our client as the preferred partner for national and local authorities. This is achieved by running free pilot schemes in municipalities across the country.

Government Relations
We help the client to build a network among public officials to ensure effective advocacy when needed.
Our client wishes to build and maintain a broad range of contacts among public officials to improve its understanding of government thinking on industry regulation. A dialogue is established between the client and officials, providing the client with early warning of threats and opportunities.
Parliamentary Advocacy
We introduce an amendment to an Act of Parliament to exclude the client from the application of the Act, and thus win competitive advantage.
We begin by assessing the likelihood of success and mapping the decision making process and players. We separate formal and informal procedure, identify de jure and de facto owners of decisions you must influence, revealing the agendas of the main actors and in this way eliminate the risk of entering into wasteful or damaging relationships.
Then we build a compelling case, writing targeted briefs using evidence-based argument to set or shift the terms of the debate in ways that lead to your preferred conclusion. Next we build a strategy of best representation explaining how best to get the message across, whether directly or through third parties and when. The final step is tactical delivery. |
